CanDSim: Canadian Diabetes Microsimulation Model

Diabetes affects almost 10% of Canadians. The incidence, and consequently, the prevalance of diabetes has been increasing over time. CanDSim is a microsimulation model which has been parameterized using up-to-date North-American population based datasets. The model incorporates many important features of diabetes progression, but also the progression and treatment of conditions that commonly occur in patients with diabetes, because of shared risk factors or because diabetes increases the risk of these conditions.
